RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: As a partnership expands in capacity, acquisition, training and retention of adept and workmanlike managers becomes very critical to survival of the fittest and profitability. Among the key areas of a business where skillful managers are fateed to ensure survival and profitability are procurement, production, finance, marketing, and corporate image. In the case of coca grass, the challenges facing the company: i.e.
rising cost of resources, scarcity of water, difficulties in managing salary administration, etc all point to the companys need of competent managers who can profitably manage its growth to wee wealth and surmount the challenges confronting it from its environment. From this perspective, the objective of the study is to assist the company to i) appreciate the challenges confronting it, primarily as the result of neediness of competent managers and ii) prioritise the hiring and maintenance of competent managers.
