Joining the United States Army or any other war machine benefit can be a big decision for anyone. wherefore would someone want to put themselves in harms way or even be away from their family for that extensive or that far away? Some hoi polloi union the military for the honor and prestige of defending our country. Others join to pay for college or even to see the land. whatever their reason is it is going to be the biggest decision that anyone is going to make.
As I set here today reflecting on my 16 year career in the United States Army I realize this was a very big life ever-changing moment in my life. I have traveled the world over seen many different things and met lots of interesting people in my career. Joining the Army for me was like joining a new family where everyone is different but loves each other sightly the same. Life for me in the military has been fun and very catchy at times. But remembering the day I linked and why I joined has been the drive for me since 12 June 1997.
The thought you can get from joining the military can be so rewarding.
My journey started about June of 1996. My parents had asked me if I knew what I treasured to do after high school. They gave me the option of college, finding a job, or joining the military. I told them at that time the military would be the best option for me. So I walked into the Armys recruiting way which had aroma of being old and stuffy. The office had pictures and posters saying, Be entirely you can be in the Army. So I walked in the office and there was this big built herculean guy I was terrified to death at first. So I told him that I wanted to join the Army he showed me videos of what I was about to take on. After watching the videos I was ready to go and wanted to Be all I can be in the Army.
