The concept of a gorilla teaching a human at first seems pissed to the reader, and to the unnamed protagonist as well. (It should be noted that the generator implies throughout the book that he himself is the one narrating the story, as the protagonist does mention that he is a writer.) is because an animal would harbor a relatively unbiased view of human civilizations unbiased, at
least, in comparison with a humans view. In any case, the reader eventually becomes so
