After years of studying AFL and following my favourite team the Sydney Swans I decided why not give it a go. I estimation it would be more skillful game to play and there was still physical contact involved. So I signed up for the Sth Highland Hawks at Loseby Park; the same ground which I had played league on the year before.

We took down one of my teammates and no surprises we got anomic and ended up on the wrong side of Wollongong. After a lengthy car trip we arrived at Hollymount ovoid to play the Tigers. I came to notice there was a hard-hitting rivalry or better said as abhorrence between the two teams.
I was put in the ruck, surprisingly, and went up against Kiwi a joker who I am like a shot good mates with. That game I was lost and had no idea what I was doing. Its a lot harder than it looks on TV. The match was a dog fight. And my parents first impression of my new sport wasnt very promising. They thought it was stupid and they would much prefer league. But I was dependant after 1 game.
