As they approach the ceder mountain, They both telling each other not to be afraid. Humababa challenge Gilgamesh to fight. He is afraid again, but Enkidus some brave words (At this time Enkidu was afraid too) channelise Gilgameshs mind to fight with Humbaba. Gilgamesh wins, but thats not the true sign of real hero. Hero should never afraid anytime. After they came back to the city of Uruk, Enkidu had terrifying dreams that he must die.



He died while he was afraid. Now Gilgamesh is scared at this moment because he knew that he has to die one day. Gilgamesh goes on a journey to find immortality and bring Enkidu back alive. However, he failed to find immortality from Utnapishtim( he has eternal purport).

In my conclusion, Gilgamesh and Enkidu diminish their daring structure by getting scared or afraid every time. Enkidu loses his heroism by getting afraid for Gilgamesh. On the other side Gilgamesh tried to find eternal life for Enkidu because he was afraid without him.
